Terms & conditions

Written in English rather than legalese, because you should be able to read what you're agreeing to.

Quotes and pricing

Quotes are free and set out what's included. A quote stands for 30 days. If the job changes once we're in, or we uncover something that couldn't be seen when quoting (it happens, especially in older properties), work pauses and you get the options and costs before anything extra happens. You'll never find surprise items on an invoice.

Emergency call-outs

Emergency work may carry an additional fee depending on the time, urgency and nature of the job. The cost is agreed on the phone before we set off. Our first priority on arrival is making things safe; permanent repairs are agreed with you before they're done.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless we've agreed otherwise. For larger projects like bathrooms, we'll agree staged payments in the quote. We don't ask for large upfront deposits; materials for bigger jobs may need a deposit, which will be itemised.

Guarantee

Our workmanship is guaranteed. If something we've done isn't right, tell us and we'll come back and fix it at no cost. Manufacturer warranties on boilers and parts are separate and belong to you; we register them where applicable. The guarantee covers our work, not pre-existing faults elsewhere in your system, fair wear and tear, or damage caused by others after we've left.

Cancellations

Life happens. Cancel or rearrange a booked visit with reasonable notice and there's no charge. Repeated no-shows for booked appointments may be charged, because a missed slot is a slot another customer needed.

Your home

We treat your home with respect: shoes off or covers on, dust sheets down, work areas cleaned afterwards, and old parts and scrap removed and disposed of responsibly. We're fully insured with public liability cover. In the unlikely event we damage something, tell us straight away and we'll put it right.

The boring but necessary bits

All gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer as the law requires. These terms don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Any dispute we can't resolve between us falls under the law of England and Wales.
